Microsoft has revealed Xbox Game Pass May 2026 Wave 1, with 14 new titles arriving this month plus three Day One heavyweights — Forza Horizon 6, Subnautica 2, and Mixtape.

What’s happening

On May 5, 2026, the Xbox Wire team announced the first wave of titles joining Game Pass this month via the official Xbox Wire. Multiple gaming outlets corroborated the lineup, including Insider Gaming and NME.

Available today (May 6, 2026)

  • Wheel World — A cel-shaded open-world cycling game from Annapurna Interactive.
  • Wildgate — A PvPvE shooter blending naval warfare with first-person combat.
  • Wuchang: Fallen Feathers — A Soulslike set in the late Ming dynasty (originally a 2025 Day One title, still in the Game Pass library).
  • Ben 10: Power Trip and Descenders Next — Added per a report from 4ScarrsGaming.

Day One highlights coming this month

  • Mixtape — A narrative adventure from Beethoven & Dinosaur, launching May 7 on Game Pass Day One per mxdwn Games.
  • Forza Horizon 6 — Set in Japan with a brand-new map, hitting Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on May 19, as PC Gamer confirms.
  • Subnautica 2 — A new ocean to explore, arriving on Game Pass late this month.

Why this wave matters

For Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, this wave is clearly stronger than April’s. Forza Horizon 6 is a flagship Day One that would otherwise run full retail price. Wheel World and Wuchang are easy ways to try something different without buying outright, and Mixtape — built around licensed tracks from The Cure, Joy Division, and DEVO — should appeal to narrative-game fans.

Worth knowing: if you started Wuchang in 2025 and didn’t finish, your cloud saves are still intact — no need to start over.
