How we score
- We use it. We buy or trial each tool and live with it on real work for weeks, not minutes.
- We score it. Value, ease, features and support — weighted the same for every tool, so scores compare.
- We revisit. Software changes. We re-test and update scores when a tool ships something big.
What we promise
- No pay-to-rank. No company can buy a higher score or a spot on a list. Ever — rankings are earned on merit.
- We disclose everything. When a link earns us a commission, we say so — right on the page, in plain language.
- We say when we haven’t tested. If we’re comparing on specs rather than hands-on use, we tell you clearly.
- We update, not abandon. A review isn’t frozen in time. When a tool changes, the score changes with it.
